Privacy Policy
What PSX Analyst records when you use it, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
1. Who we are
PSX Analyst is operated by PSX Analyst. This policy covers this website and the assistant behind it. For anything in it, write to Ahmedtaufiq@outlook.com.
You can read the public pages without an account and without telling us who you are. That covers this page, the articles and the exchange reference. Everything in section 2 applies once you create one.
2. What we store
Your account. Your email address, a unique account identifier, when you registered, and whether your account has been approved for access. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never stored by us or visible to us.
Your conversations. This is the significant one. We store the full text of the questions you ask and the answers the assistant gives, tied to your account. Alongside each exchange we keep a conversation title, timestamps, which internal tools ran, how long the answer took, the sources cited, and any thumbs-up or thumbs-down you leave.
We keep transcripts because the product needs them: a conversation must remember its own earlier turns to answer a follow-up, you can return to a past conversation, and a recorded wrong answer is what lets us find and fix the fault behind it.
Things you ask it to remember. Durable preferences and a running summary of what matters to you across conversations. That might be a stated interest in a sector, or how you prefer figures presented.
Your simulated portfolio. Paper orders, holdings, cash balance, trade history, performance snapshots and any strategy bots you configure. This is simulated activity, but it is still a record of what you were interested in and when, so we treat it as personal data.
Technical information. Ordinary server and security logs: request times, error diagnostics and similar operational records. Advertising and analytics on the public pages are covered in section 4.
We do not ask for or store your national identity number, your bank or brokerage details, your real portfolio, or any payment card. The product has no connection to any broker and cannot place a real trade.
3. Who else sees it
Running the assistant means some of your data leaves our servers. These are the recipients, and what each one receives:
- An authentication provider. Holds your email address, your credentials and your session. It is how signing in works.
- A language model provider. The text of your question, and the relevant material retrieved to answer it, are sent for processing so an answer can be composed. Do not put anything confidential into a question you would not want processed by a third-party model provider.
- A web search provider. Used when a question concerns recent news or market sentiment. Receives a search query derived from your question.
- A monitoring and quality tracing service. Receives a record of each exchange, including the question text, the answer, your account identifier and performance measurements. It is how we detect that the assistant has started answering badly.
- Google. Advertising on the public pages, and the cookies that go with it. See section 4.
- Our hosting provider. The infrastructure the application and databases run on.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We may disclose data where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect the service or someone’s safety.
Some of these providers operate outside Pakistan, so your data is processed abroad. Each is a commercial provider under its own published privacy terms.
4. Advertising and cookies
The public pages of this site carry advertising served by Google, including Google AdSense. That means the home page, the articles and these information pages. Advertising is never shown inside the signed-in product; your conversations and your portfolio sit behind a separate boundary that no advertising script is loaded into.
- Google and its partners use cookies and similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, and to limit how often you see the same one.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s Ads Settings, and out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies entirely.
- Where the law requires consent for advertising cookies, they are set only after you have given it.
Storage in your browser. Separately from advertising, we store a small amount of data in your own browser: your sign-in session, so you are not asked to log in on every page, and your light/dark theme choice. These never leave your device except as the sign-in session is sent back to verify who you are.
5. Why we process it
- To provide the service. Answering your questions, remembering a conversation, keeping your simulated portfolio.
- To keep it working. Diagnosing faults, measuring answer quality, finding wrong answers and fixing their cause.
- To keep it secure. Preventing abuse, unauthorised access and misuse of the service.
- To meet legal obligations where they apply to us.
We do not use your conversations to train our own models. We do not use them to build an advertising profile of you.
6. How long we keep it
Account records are kept while the account exists. Conversations, saved preferences and simulated portfolio history are kept until you delete them or ask us to close your account, because the product works by remembering them. Operational logs and tracing records are kept for a limited period for diagnosis and then expire.
7. Your choices
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of what we hold about you;
- correct something that is wrong;
- delete your conversations, or your account and everything in it;
- tell you more about any processing described here.
Write to Ahmedtaufiq@outlook.com from the address on the account, so we can tell the request is yours. We will respond within a reasonable period. Some records may survive a deletion request briefly in backups, and we may keep the minimum needed to meet a legal obligation.
8. Security
Access to your conversations and portfolio is tied to your verified account, and the server checks that on every request rather than trusting the browser. Data in transit is encrypted. Access to production systems is limited to the people who operate them.
No system is perfectly secure. Please do not put sensitive personal information, credentials or anything confidential into a conversation because the assistant has no need for it and it would be stored and processed like everything else you type.
9. Children
The service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data about children. If you believe a child has created an account, tell us and we will remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when what we do changes, and the date at the top shows when it last changed substantively. For a significant change affecting account holders we will make a reasonable effort to tell you directly rather than relying on you re-reading this page.
